What letter values are used?

Standard Scrabble values: A,E,I,L,N,O,R,S,T,U = 1; D,G = 2; B,C,M,P = 3; F,H,V,W,Y = 4; K = 5; J,X = 8; Q,Z = 10.

Does this include double or triple word scores?

No. This tool sums base letter values only. Board multipliers depend on where you place the word.

What about blank tiles?

Blanks score 0 points. Enter only the letters you are scoring — the calculator does not distinguish blanks from regular tiles.

Is the word checked against the dictionary?
